PAID–ESA and the Initiative for Good Governance and Transparency (IGT) join forces to strengthen governance, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development in East and Southern Africa, leveraging complementary expertise in transparency, citizen participation, and capacity building.
PAID–ESA and the Initiative for Good Governance and Transparency (IGT) have established a strategic partnership to strengthen governance, transparency, and community resilience across East and Southern Africa.
The collaboration focuses on:
- Enhancing accountability, citizen participation, and digital governance tools.
- Advancing Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Early Warning Systems (EWS) initiatives, including ongoing projects in the Ivory Coast and Tanzania.
- Promoting sustainable natural resource management and environmental governance.
- Delivering joint professional training, applied research, and policy advocacy at regional and national levels.
By combining PAID–ESA’s academic and diplomatic expertise with IGT’s operational networks and local knowledge, the partnership aims to drive inclusive, sustainable, and resilient development outcomes across the region.
