Learning Methodology
The training adopts a practical, participant-centered, and results-oriented learning approach consistent with international standards. It is specifically designed to accommodate the professional schedules of participants, ensuring effective learning without disrupting ongoing work commitments.
1. Flexible, Professional-Friendly Delivery Format
· Training sessions will be conducted online for 2 hours per day
· The schedule is designed to allow participants to learn while continuing their professional responsibilities
· Sessions will be highly focused, structured, and outcome-driven
2. Blended Learning Approach
The programme combines:
· Interactive expert-led sessions
· Case-based learning (real donor-funded projects)
· Guided discussions and peer learning
· Practical demonstrations and tools application
This ensures that participants not only understand concepts but can apply them immediately in real-world contexts.
3. Practice-Oriented Learning
Each session integrates:
· Practical illustrations based on real institutional and donor scenarios
· Hands-on exercises (proposal writing, budgeting, logframe development, compliance checks)
· Assignments designed to reinforce learning and build progressively toward mastery
4. Structured Individual Work Commitment
Participants are expected to dedicate:
· A minimum of 2 additional hours daily (self-paced)
for:
o Practical exercises
o Assignments
o Reflection and assimilation of lessons learned
This ensures deep learning, retention, and skill acquisition.
5. Capstone Project (Applied Learning Component)
At the end of the core training:
· Each participant will be assigned a Capstone Project
· The project will require participants to:
o Design a complete, donor-ready project proposal, including:
§ Problem analysis
§ Logical framework
§ Budget
§ Compliance considerations
§ MEAL components
6. Final Presentation and Evaluation
· A dedicated presentation session will be organized
· Each participant will present their Capstone Project before a professional evaluation jury
· The jury will assess:
o Technical quality
o Compliance with donor standards
o Practical applicability
o Clarity and coherence
7. Certification Requirements
To be awarded the End-of-Course Certificate, participants must:
· Actively participate in training sessions
· Complete all assignments and practical exercises
· Successfully present and defend their Capstone Project
Key Pedagogical Principle
“Learning by doing, validating by practice, and certifying through demonstrated competence.”
