The Pan African Institute for Development – East and Southern Africa (PAID–ESA) successfully delivered an Advanced Training on Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, and People Management, reinforcing its commitment to high-impact leadership and professional development across Africa.
The training focused on strengthening participants’ ability to lead with self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and strategic people management skills in complex organizational and development contexts. Drawing on applied leadership frameworks and real-world case studies, the programme equipped participants with advanced tools to enhance team performance, manage conflict, improve communication, and foster inclusive, high-trust work environments.
Targeted at senior professionals, managers, development practitioners, and emerging leaders, the training emphasized people-centered leadership, adaptive decision-making, and emotional intelligence as critical competencies for effective governance, humanitarian action, and institutional performance. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and reflective leadership practice aligned with contemporary organizational challenges.
